ABOUT MY LEARNING CLUB
Welcome to My Learning Club.
We offer CLASSROOM based, after school, and weekend specialist 11+ Preparation for both Grammar and Independent Schools in Birmingham, Walsall, and Warwickshire. We also offer REMOTE ZOOM BASED 11+ Preparation NATIONALLY.
Our Subject areas include 11+ Literacy and Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning and Mathematics for 11+ Grammar Preparation. 11+ Creative Writing and Long Comprehension, 11+ Scholarship English and 11+ Scholarship Maths Courses are also offered in preparation for 11+ independent School exams.
We are a one-stop-shop for 11+ advice, preparation, mentoring, coaching, and support for parents preparing for the first time through to parents preparing their last child.
My Learning Club was originally set up as a joint venture between the Literacy Club and Solihull Professional Tuition Centre in September 2016 and ran for four years and after excellent results ended in May 2020.
A Change of Vision & Methodology
Fiaz wanted to focus on delivering the highest possible scores in the 11+ Grammar Examination by sharing content including explainer videos on all aspects of the syllabus with parents.
The My Learning Club classroom is based at 631 Warwick Road, Solihull.
Fiaz has successfully taught the Full 11+ Syllabus on Sundays at Solihull Professional Tuition Centre and believes in efficiency and complete transparency with parents to empower them to support their child during the week. Optimization of tuition knowledge transfer and processes using technology have significantly improved the 11+ course for both Maths/NVR as well as Literacy/VR. Explainer videos for parents to review with their child in the week have become a game-changer.
Parents no longer need to “Learn” or "Teach" techniques, other than those shared in the classroom by Fiaz. They no longer need to search for methods to support homework or employ an additional assistant to tutor and assist with the vast homework/workload children received at My Learning Club. Proprietary Explainer Videos are now provided on a weekly basis to ensure ONLY the methods taught in class are used for homework. Homework can now be managed with increased efficiency and core revision of key concepts can be done at homework in alignment with the methods taught in class.
A Change in the Delivery and Supply of Tuition.
These innovative changes and processes were introduced by Fiaz at Solihull Professional Tuition Centre and My Learning Club since the Covid-19 lockdown in March and has allowed a smooth transfer from offline to online Zoom based tuition.
Significant technology adoption and investment have transformed the landscape of 11+ Tuition and since the ending of the joint venture, My Learning Club is now solely run by Fiaz Rashid and decision-making processes have been streamlined.
Fiaz will honour all offers of tuition for the Maths/NVR courses for 2020/2021 made in March and can now offer the 11+ Literacy/VR classes and the Creative Writing club classes as well as the full course 11+ Grammar options (Literacy, VR, NVR and Maths)to any pupils wishing to enjoy a virtual 11+ Tuition from the comfort of their home or in-class preparation for a One Day classroom Tuition experience, depending on parental needs and family lifestyle balance. Tuition is delivered by Fiaz and his experienced team of DBS clear experienced assistants.
The infrastructure and classroom at the Solihull Professional Tuition Centre is now the home of My Learning Club.

Complete Transparency with Published Results.
The ACTUAL RESULTS Literacy Club and Maths/NVR Club jointly obtained last year with the 2020 Cohort are given below.
Unfortunately, they have been misrepresented and removed from the Literacy Club website following the end of the joint venture between Solihull Professional Tuition Centre's Maths/NVR Club and the Literacy Club.
The Yellow highlighted results were achieved by a joint effort by both Fiaz and an 11+ Literacy Tutor last year for the 2020 Cohort and are factually correct. 8 out of the top 10 or 21/30 top marks were jointly taught by Fiaz and an 11+ Literacy Tutor.
All highlighted pupils were jointly taught by Literacy Club and Maths/NVR Club. The Maths/NVR course components are identical to the Maths/NVR course run at Solihull Professional Tuition Centre as part of the full 11+ CEM Literacy, Maths/NVR course.
The Mean Average of Pupils who were taught Maths/NVR by Fiaz was 239.07 compared to the rest of the pupils who averaged 229. An Average of 10 Marks higher than pupils taught Maths/NVR elsewhere.
Make Informed Decisions based on Factual Accuracy
For factual accuracy and to help parents make informed decisions about their child's tuition the following disclosures are being made in good faith.
11+ Scholarship Maths prep and 11+ August Mock Exam Techniques & Preparation in Literacy, Maths, NVR - the entire syllabus was always taught and run by Fiaz.
Pupils at Solihull Professional Tuition Centre were only taught by Fiaz – Literacy, Maths and NVR in both Year 4 and Year 5.
In Year 5 August – All My Learning Club pupils would complete a 30 hour Mock Examination and polishing off Course and compete Head to Head with the Year 5 pupils at Solihull Professional Tuition Centre in August. They would have timed mock exams every Saturday and Sunday just before the exam with a 30-Hour Mock Examination and Review Course - 10 Mocks.
Any aspects of exam prep in Literacy that may have needed polishing off were then extended to Literacy Club pupils to ensure they achieved their potential. Many, many parents have provided sincere and genuine testimonials that this lifted their child's literacy and all-round capability of being relaxed and 'super prepared' for the 11+ Exam.
Two mock exams at the weekend with full reviews with 3 home mocks meant over a 4-5 week period all children completed around 20 - 25 mock exams and were super prepared for the Grammar exam.
Case Study Finding

To help parents make informed decisions full disclosure is being made in this Case Study for the 2020 Cohort who sat the exam in Sept 2019.
Fiaz currently has children attending Grammar Schools in Birmingham and understands deeply the current curriculum requirements and the format of the examination and has had a 100% pass rate over the last four years
The syllabus taught is continually revised each year to provide the latest and most relevant resources, and by working in partnership with parents to support children's achievement and attainment we aim to score the highest possible scores in the actual exam.
We hope that parents can take comfort that their child will be well-prepared and confident to sit the 11+ examination - knowing that they are the best possible version of themselves.
Update Following Covid-19 and Lockdown
Following the success of the online Zoom classes and my explainer videos being provided to parents with recordings of exactly the methods taught in class, the classes for Maths/NVR will be offered on a weekly basis via Zoom so attendance to the centre is not necessary. They can be sat in the comfort of your home.
Once government restrictions are removed for those wanting to attend a physical class that will be possible. For those parents who are happy doing remote Zoom sessions with quality control measures in place and one to one support available these classes will run in parallel.
Instead of doing the classroom course, you can opt to do the course from the comfort of your home with explainer videos to review the methods taught in class.
Parents are invited to sit in on the lessons to see the methods being taught and a weekly recording will be provided to you to play, stop, start and review to reinforce the teachings in class.
Every 3-4 weeks whatever issues / areas have need additional revision or are not understood can be reviewed with a one to one session at the centre in Solihull Professional Centre or remotely. These sessions will be provided at FREE as part of our quality control measures
Due to the course being updated, your attendance at Solihull Professional Tuition Centre for face to face classroom tuition is NOT REQUIRED on a weekly basis if you opt for the REMOTE ZOOM Class that Fiaz teaches.
You only need to attend the centre if you want to have a one to one session or once a term for the end of term exam but again that can be done remotely if desired.
All one to one sessions will be INCLUDED as part of the course and our standard policies at Solihull Professional Tuition Centre which were included in the original joint venture with Literacy Club and the setting up of My Learning Club.
A Change in the Delivery and Supply of Tuition
Ultimately, it is all about getting the highest score in the examination for parents by completing efficiently, the least amount of tuition hours at a fair investment cost and ensure your child is happy and relaxed on the journey to become the best possible version of themselves.
Decide wisely, decide sensibly, if you need to discuss your particular circumstances then please call 07758314202. Fiaz is always available to help and serve parents with the right professional and impartial advice on their 11+ journey, especially if this is your first child and the process is overwhelming for you.

Mastering Exam technique and the love of transforming Literacy, Maths and NVR skills by inspiring excellence
Mohammed Fiaz Rashid
(Expert Tuition in 11+ CEM Literacy, Maths & Non-Verbal Reasoning, 11+ Scholarship Maths and 11+ Scholarship English)
Fiaz has successfully taught the 11+ CEM format of the exam and prepared children for top independent schools since 2015 and last year had an average mean mark of 235 in the 11+ CEM grammar exam. Children who did the 11+ Scholarship Maths Course had an average mark of 246. The highest Mark was 275. There were also 28 scholarships for independent school entry in 2019 along with a second child to have secured a place at Eton College.
The remote tuition of a limited number of pupils lead to scholarships at St Albans Henrietta Barnet, Bedford School and St Albans Girls as well as KES and KEHS. Fiaz has always enjoyed exam mastery and personal development including completing Mastery University with Anthony Robbins.
Fiaz always loved Mathematics from a young age pursuing it to degree and professional level but he also secured a grade A in English at O Level. He was one of two children nationally who were offered the Shell sponsorship and studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering at University, taking higher maths options as an integral component on the course. Fiaz subsequently trained as a Chartered Accountant with Delloite and Touche in the City of London and went on to work in US investment banks, in risk management.
After a successful career in investment banking and finance, Fiaz went on to set up a successful software company and was CEO for over ten years appearing in the ETRE (European Technology Roundtable) 2004 global list of top 250 CEO’s. The company diversified into educational software solutions and from 2006 Fiaz has been involved with the 11 Plus as his children started to go through the process and he was disillusioned that no one had a proper syllabus and resources were dated. Fiaz actively taught the current 11 plus syllabus from home for a number of years.
Whilst searching for a premises to set up a new centre to offer quality tuition in 2014, he acquired Solihull Professional Tuition Centre from a retired Head Teacher who is now the patron of the centre in 2014. The centre was a founder member of the Association of Professional Tuition Centres and is also a member of the Tutor’s Association. The goal was to deliver transparent tuition services and motivate children to become the best version of themselves.
Fiaz had a vision to transform the 11+ industry by starting off and maintaining a 100% pass rate by focusing ruthlessly on exam technique, timing mastery and spaced learning of all questions and concepts a child kept getting wrong.
Fiaz holds a belief that through sheer hard work and dedicated commitment to the correct syllabus, any average child can pass the 11 plus if mentored and tutored effectively and now has a track history of endless cases where children have passed the 11plus having been told they will never pass the 11 plus by a previous tutor or school teacher.
Fiaz successfully rolled out the AE Tuition Programme for pupils in 2015, 2016 and then adapted his course to integrate a mock system just before the exam which transformed the mean mark of results.
A joint venture between the Literacy Club and the Maths/NVR components from the successful Solihull Professional Tuition Centre Course which had a 100% pass rate and a robust mock examination-based structure to preparing children and mentoring them through the exam was set up in 2016 and ran for four years.
Fiaz has developed a unique approach to 11+ Creative Writing and Long Comprehension, focusing on providing model answers on how to secure top marks in the 11+ Independent exams. This has been the cornerstone of his many successful pupils who have passed and secured scholarships over the years. For left brain dominant mathematicians struggling to write creatively the course has been a revelation and for right brain dominant children it allows them to excel and perfect exam technique by mastering how to gauge the mark scheme and write at a level way above their peer group to maximise marks. Exam technique and model answers are the key to 11+ success and any examination that a child is ever likely to take. The 11+ Scholarship English Course has model answers for every comprehension paper on the course and for each piece of creative writing on the course.
Due to differences in vision the joint venture came to an end in May 2020 and Fiaz is now solely responsible for My Learning Club and along with his support team at Solihull Professional Tuition Centre is actively looking to deliver the best possible content in the simplest and easiest to understand manner in all aspects of the 11 plus.
11plucourse.co.uk and11pluscourse.com are digitally based websites on 11+ courses nationally which can allow any child to have access to explainer video-based content so children and parents can stop, rewind, fast forward explanations on any aspect of the current 11+ CEM format and 11+ Independent exams. Children attending the Solihull Professional Tuition can to be ranked nationally when children sit national Digital Mock Exams for both 11+ CEM examinations and also 11+ Scholarship Maths Papers. This may also be extended to My Learning Club.
Fiaz’s sole focus in this industry now is to empower parents to be able to support their child’s 11+ journey and reinforce at home the exact techniques that are taught in class so as to create the most efficient structure for 11+ knowledge transfer between pupils, parents and the tutor and this in turn can lead to achieving the best possible results year on year and increase the mean average of the course to 250+. The end goal has to be to make 11+ preparation accessible to every home and every single child in the country. 100% Scholarships have been offered on the 11+ CEM Course for some pupils where they do the course without paying any fees and at My Learning Club these will also be available from 2021.
Anything is possible with commitment, hard work and focus
Mrs Esan - 20 Week Advanced Intensive 11+ grammar course.
Very intensive course. Children put in a lot of hard work into the preparation of the course. Had to work daily with our son. The preparation involved requires the same amount of commitment and hard work from the child as it does from the parent.
Mohammed was there for my child and me all the way. Thank you Mohammed.

FEEDBACK FROM PARENT
We have had a very positive experience where my son and nephew have grown in confidence, in all aspects of the 11+. The staff have been very approachable and willing to put to rest any concerns we had. The only thing I would say could be improved or re-considered is the promise of being available at anytime for the chat on the phone. I realise this is difficult so maybe alternative could be thought of. The full mock tests at the end were extremely helpful and should definitely be continued. Thank you very much to everyone who has supported us through this journey.
FEEDBACK FROM PARENT
The material provided by both maths and English teachers Mr. Fiaz Rashid and an 11+ Literacy Tutor was very thorough. They exceeded or expectations. Also, the methods of teaching and feedback was very good. Thank you very much from us.
FEEDBACK FROM PARENT
The tuition has really boosted his confidence in all aspects of school. Mr Rashid believes in the children and this makes them work harder! The only advice would be to pace the work a bit slower, so they take in what they are doing, ie finish the NVR book over a longer period of time.
FEEDBACK FROM PARENT
My daughter joined the class very late in the last 10 months. She had a bit to catch up. Classwork was very intense but well planned and goal-oriented. Mr. Rashid is one of the most dedicated teachers I have met. Not only his teaching, but he also identifies each child’s weak areas individually and helps. He guided me and my daughter when she almost broke down and gave up. That is unique for a teacher to do in this era. As a mother of a happy, confident, and independent daughter, I thank Mr Rashid, his team, and Solihull Tuition Centre. For moulding her to the best of her ability. We wish you all the best!
FEEDBACK FROM PARENT
Overall we feel the course content and quality of tuition were excellent. However, we felt there was too much homework at times and too much marking for parents. Finally, some resources also need updating as they felt too advanced and confusing for this level. But we appreciate all the hard work you have put into the children. Thank you so much!
FEEDBACK FROM PARENT
Mr Mohammed Fiaz Rashid is a very good teacher, very professional and dedicated person. He showed full commitment to improve children’s skills. He worked very hard to deliver quality education to children.
FEEDBACK FROM PARENT
We were introduced to Mr Rashid by a friend. For almost a year and a half Fahad has been working non-stop! A shock to a child who only wants to build Lego! Fahad has learnt to sit for longer periods to do work, it’s not been easy for him especially nearing the end but the mock sessions and exams were brilliant as a wake up call. The workload was intense (very!). Having done his 11+, Fahad’s words were “that was so easy!” Let’s see what the results say. A fantastic team of assistants led by a very good tutor, thank you!
FEEDBACK FROM PARENT
We saw a big progress for my daughter within this year, she felt very happy for her time spent at Solihull Professional Centre. Mr Fiaz Rashid organised the training very well and the course showed a very clear structure. In summary, it’s an excellent experience! For my daughter, she doesn’t like too much homework which sometimes brought a slightly negative effect for her independent learning skills. Of course, this is different for each child and we understand it’s difficult to vary too much in the training for different children.
